Purpose: To keep food chilled or frozen.
Issue: Every fridge has a motor (compressor) that moves the coolant that chills the unit. When the motor is off (the fridge is idle), the only EMF’s come from the electrical (digital) control panel (if there is one). In this mode, it is fairly inert from an EMF perspective. However, when the motor comes on (the fridge is cooling), the motor can generate magnetic fields that can have an effect ten or more feet from the unit.
Better Option: The magentic fields generated by the motor penetrate through walls. DO NOT place any bed within ten feet of a fridge (this includes above or below). If you must place a bed here because of your home design, then place the fridge on a timer so that is off during sleeping times.
